Description
Drinking eight glasses of water a day might seem challenging for humans, but for bees and butterflies, finding a sippable source of hydration is downright dangerous. Since neither can swim, any outdoor water option becomes a risky venture. Shana Gammon’s handmade stoneware puddler offers these parched pollinators a safe and flower-inspired solution. Each piece is glazed using multiple colors to create a one-of-a-kind look to the flower. Opening measures about 2"W and has an internal depth of approximately 1.5". The flower’s center rim provides an ideal butterfly perch. The upturn of the petals creates a safe, shallow water-pooling area for bees. Can also serve as a reliable water source for small animals. Tip: To ensure butterflies can safely drink, keep the puddler full and change the water periodically to prevent stagnation, or consider placing butterfly nectar in the center instead of water. 5" L x 5" W x 2.5" H
